Highlights from the Porch Portrait Project

UPDATED SEPT. 21, 2020:

When Covid-19 hit and everyone was isolated, I offered free “porch portraits” to families in Highland Park. I didn’t make any money doing it, but had the satisfaction of bringing a few moments of joy to families who were going through a tough time.

While I needed to end the free program so I could start getting my business back on track, I’m still available for family photo sessions at my regular rates. With home schooling still a thing and people continuing to feel a little stressed and stir-crazy, it offers you a welcome break–and gives you and your family a momento of how you were back when the pandemic hit.

You and your family can plan together: Wear the same color clothes? Dress in scrubs? Pose with your teddy bears? Want to dress in your Star Trek or Hogwarts uniforms? Got another idea for clothing or props that reflects your family’s interests? Cool! Let’s talk and plan to make it a great experience.

Shown here are examples from that project. Dozens of families took me up on the offer, and many said it was a highlight of their day.

If you want to schedule your family’s Porch Portrait session, please fill out this form and I’ll get back to you with your scheduled time. (Please note the schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions.)

All sessions are contactless. They are conducted from at least 10 feet away, and the photographer wears a mask per CDC guidelines.
